Wow, I got a lot of great feedback from people in Gov about our video. Even people who usually don't talk to me told me that they liked the video. Totally cool! I can't wait til tomorrow's, though. I'm thinking we should make a soundtrack. [for both videos] Get back to me Cyrus/Andy/Soutchay/whoever if you guys wanna follow up on the idea.
So I've just now read the infamous post criticizing the production of Grease. I considered posting a comment of my own, but seeing as how every comment made there is now immediately discredited and dubbed as overreactive and senseless, to quote hottpinkstuff. Seriously... what kind of name is hottpinkstuff? I just find it pretty amusing. It's like a generic girly girl name.
Back on subject, though... why does the argument still persist? So Buchanan students didn't like Clovis West's production of Grease. We first lashed out in outrage at their insensitivity to the feelings of those who put hard work into the making of the musical. Let's face it, those who were actually in the musical were especially upset, to say the least. Yet they still maintain their self-righteousness. "I have the right to express my opinion!" We explained to them that opinions are free to express but should be used with extreme discretion, to which more Buchanan comments flew in accusing Clovis West nerds of being overreacting freaks. Since that really isn't an argument or a counterargument [ad hominem! go comp!], I suppose it serves to bring the chaos to an end, or rather to the beginning yet again, somewhat like a glaze-covered donut. Really people--if they haven't gotten the message by then, what use is it to keep hammering in the same remarks over and over again?
I have to say that I've lost my respect for Joanne. I know that there's little chance that she'd be reading this and there's even less chance that it'd matter to her if she did. It's just so astonishing how uncompassionate she can be.
I got mixed responses concerning my picture from 7th grade today. Every single person I asked in first period today said I looked exactly the same. This includes Stephanie Kong, Matt Duncan, Jared Marshall, and Alison Vaux [who included that I look hotter now, (yes!) but nonetheless, the same as before (darn!)]. "Dang, you were king of the nerds!" Michael Chiang commented on my picture in Chinese, as that was where I was assembling my "Student Reference Book" in which the picture was to be included. This prompted me to take another survey. Most everyone, if not everyone, was in agreeance with yours truly. Michael put it nicely when he said, "That's the biggest insult anyone could ever give you!!" There were two ways I could've taken that; fortunately for me, I didn't take either. I'll let you people make your own conclusions.
That's really all I got for ya.
