Before I start my schpiel about gold stars, let me first explain them. For all of you who teach AP Government out there, Gold Stars are a sort of recognition, if you will, for being a very awesome person. The more you have, the more awesome you are. I also use them as bargaining tools, but that just goes back to the awesome principle. If you do stuff for me, you must be awesome. The more stuff you do for me, the more awesome you are. People who have gold stars as a result from doing something for me include Khara, Weird Stephanie, and Cyrus. So you can get gold stars on purpose or just by being naturally awesome. Also, every 1000x on my counter gets a gold star. [e.g. 1000, 2000, ... 5000, 6000] Speaking of which... =D Now you can right click and save the actual counter, people. No need for Print Screen anymore. People who have gold stars are prone to feeling very competitive about the number of gold stars they have, even to the point of creating fake pages resembling mine and giving themselves counterfeit gold stars. [for which I removed two of his real stars] Ostensibly, they represent accomplishment, integrity, and hard work. Realistically, they represent awesomeness.

Over the past few seconds, I've been trying to think up ways to distribute gold stars more frequently and more fairly. I have, however, remained unsuccessful. Suggestions would help. Aaron was talking about gambling for more stars. I am taking that into serious consideration. Perhaps by using the random number generator on the TI-83+ and designating some numbers to represent success and others to represent failure. This idea, however, will not begin to be put into use until the normal school year so that I can work out the details. Also, if you feel like you deserve more gold stars, just tell me and give me proper justification! My memory isn't exactly top notch, you know. It's not even middle notch. If you've done something starworthy, I might've forgotten about it. Refresh my memory and I'll give it to you. But you can't just arbitrarily ask for a star and expect to get one! I know people say this all the time and it's pretty annoying, but if I did that, then eventually everyone would be expecting to get a star whenever they asked. So, instead of asking for stars, help me think up a way to distribute them regularly and fairly! If I use your way, I'll give you a star. =P
