Reading over my AP World material and syllabus, I felt a sense of APG deja vu. What? You want me to explain and quit AP World? Well, quit I won't, but explain I will.
- Cultural Heritage "Paper Quilt"??
- Unannounced current event quizzes worth 5-10 points each??
- Optional study guides that, for extra credit, require students to go "above and beyond" with creativity, humor, and/or critical thinking?? [and let's not forget the minimum of five sentences each]
- Unannounced quizzes on supplementals?? Well ... okay, so we never had those. But still!
- Your grade in this class is an excellent indicator of your chances for success on the Advanced Placement examination?? ... Oh, that's how it is for all APs. My bad.
I feel the overwhelming urge to start busting out in the GOV formation, but I need to remember that it's only a duplicate, not the same thing as APG ... must fight the urge!
