All the times that I tried.
I've become disheartened when writing papers or essays. The conflict I have is: why write at your best when you know the teacher will only glance at your work, if even that? I feel no incentive for writing at my best and may droop to mere mediocrity. It seems futile.
Okay ... I went over to the Asian tree after school where Thomas was to wait with him. His sister and sister's friend were there. Alicia and Cat, supposedly. So Thomas says "Gordon!" and after a while Cat says "Hi Gordon!" and I say "Hi. I have no idea how you knew my name, but that was some lucky guess." Or something like that. And she says, "I recognized you by your blue shoes." Which I found to be totally reasonable. My blue, crooked shoes are distinctively fugly. Then I turn to Thomas to talk to him and ... I didn't realize it til later, but I thought she added in "--and muscles." Maybe it's just me. I know I heard something that sounded like muscles. Maybe it was mussels. She recognized me by my dark edible saltwater bivalve mollusks. But that's pretty messed up. My arms are as skinny as Derek's ankles, and that's pretty skinny. I just thought it was an amusing thought. Imagine it now: Gordon Koo, bodybuilder.
