"How you feel about your senior year so far." My heart sank like a stone when I heard Williams utter those words. It may be perhaps my worst year. Hearing about other people's take on this senior year business helped initially, but it ultimately just brought up other issues that I had not yet thought of. There's so much work and there's never time to do anything with friends. Not to mention, after we leave, like Sudeep mentioned, how many of us will still keep in touch? *sigh* What makes it worse is that seniors before us have built up so much hype about senior year, saying it will be the best year of high school--and it's just a letdown. A big, fat letdown. If this is the price of being "successful," it makes one think whether or not it's worth it. Then again, our class is heralded as a really smart class. Maybe that's why there's such a big contrast from how we feel and how others feel. We're actually driven to do our best, which results in a crazy workload that we'll actually try hard to get done, even after first semester.
I really felt like Kristina's "everyone needs to stop whining" was uncalled for. People are stressing and they need to talk about it. If Kristina's senior year is a breeze, then splendiforous for her. But she should be respectful of what others have to say. And that's all I have to say about that.
