Well guess who saw Eugene Kim at the post office yesterday. I'll give you a hint: it's me. Or Irene's dad. Or Gordon's mom. Or Eugene's sister. Nonetheless, he was there. His dad was sending some sort of something in a big box. I chatted it up with him about colleges for a while, and then he had to run. So I sent my college apps in, and I'm finished with them for eternity. Good riddance.

I'm here waiting for my aunt to decide when she wants to watch X2, because we're supposed to watch it but she's chatting it up with my father. So I suppose I'll just post this the second she says she's ready, even if that calls for a mid-sentence ending. My break is pretty much coming to an end. Thursday will be my last real day in Fresno. I'm going to Stanford on Saturday, but we're heading up there Friday and staying at a friend's house. When we grow up, we'll need to do that. Stay at each other's houses, that is. Or situate ourselves next to major universities in the California area and hope that our children [if we have any] are accepted and decided to go there. That way, when we take them back to their college, we'll have an excuse to meet up and chat about the old days when we used to ants each other or laugh about the quirks of our teachers. Chortanian's model walk. Hunter's leg on the table. Price's Filipino and Curious George obsessions. Perkovich's ... unusual teaching methods. Branham's craziness. Pazzi's soothing voice. Fernando's unorthodox behavior. But we all need to stay in touch when we become old geysers.

In a little less than five hours, we'll be next year. Has this year been fulfilling? Am I satisfied with what I've accomplished? Overall, I'd say: Yes. What's become of my New Year's Resolution of 2003? Believe it or not, I promised myself I'd be nice to people. Looks like I forgot about that in a week or so. This year, I'll try to stop thinking about myself as much and start thinking about others. Hopefully, it'll work. Happy New Year's to all of you. I hope it's a good one.
