Spiderman 2--comes out June 30, a week from today. Technically, the movie title has a hyphen in it, but I've always known Spiderman as a hyphenless entity my entire life, so I'm keeping it that way. I can't wait. I kinda wanted Venom to be the villain, but since Stan Lee wanted to see Dr Octopus incarnated on screen, they went with him. I suppose Doc Ock wasn't a bad choice, from the selection they had. Come to think of it, they didn't get very creative when coming up with villains: the Scorpion, the Vulture, the Rhino, the Lizard... What's with the animal motif? And what was with Mysterio? (was that his name?) All he did was just through little holocubes to create some stupid illusion. He never had any real cool powers. They need to come up with a really really really really cool villain. I liked Venom. I think Spiderman looked cooler in the Venom suit than in his normal red-and-blue suit. You see, here's how the story goes (for all of the Spiderman-illiterate): Venom came from some slimy goop stuff, the origin of which I'm not quite sure. It somehow got onto Eddie Brock, an acquaintance of Peter Parker, and Eddie became Venom, and it gave him really cool superpowers but also turned him evil. Spiderman fights Venom for a while and I don't know if this happens before or afterwards, but Spiderman gets the venom stuff on himself and finds all the new power that it gives him, but he starts to turn evil [sort of like Frodo] and stuff. I just read a site that says Tobey and Kirsten are signed up for Spiderman 3 to be released sometime in 2007 and that there's talk about the appearance of Venom. Pretty cool. Okay, I think that's enough Spiderman talk for one day.

A picture Emily took that I liked from one of our last days at school. This was our musical--Andy the soloist; Dustin and I the background dancers. Some things should never change.
