11:00 Monday, July 26

AS YOU MAY have guessed, it's the 11:00 post, an earlier version of the 3:00 post for days when Gordon stays in the office until noon rather than 4:00 or 5:00. Here you will find the zany musings of a man [yes! a man!] and his sidekick, the Y-chromosome. Don't ask why the Y-chromosome is the sidekick of a man, just nod your head compliantly.

So as of four days ago, I am now legally an adult. A man. A grown-up. But I will never grow up. I refuse to grow up. I will still retain my immature [or mature] humor. Nonetheless, I'm afraid that I may wake up one day and find that I've become stiff and overly meticulous and unrelentingly not-fun. Something like Aaron. JK Aaron, I'm just kidding. For the most part. No, Aaron still has his share of laughs and childish joy. But, if anyone remembers Mr Zimmer, my zero period P.E. teacher, and also the guy who supervises lunch detention [oh the awful, awful memories], he somewhat exemplies the concept that I'm getting at. I don't want to be that. 11:11 AM. A great time.

My birthday was rather enjoyable. I arrived with George and Kevin [the Canada people] at Serena's house around 8:50 in the morning for breakfast. It was no surprise that we were the first ones there, even though the time was set for 8:30. I "helped" make chocolate chip pancakes and bacon, then let Serena do the rest. Starsky & Hutch is a good movie. So was the cake. I have to say that people should let me cut cake from now on, even if they can't finish the piece. I cut myself a triangle piece, Aaron a [partial] star, Andy a duck, and everyone else abstract shapes that in some other universe must surely be meaningful symbols. Afterwards we played Cranium with little kids, which I'll have you know is completely different from playing Cranium normally. [Ryan as Little Orphan Annie: "Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow! I'm a bad person but I get to go live in a rich person's house. Tomorrow, tomorrow! Another day! Tomorrow!"] Sadly, I had to go because I felt that Kevin, the little one, was getting bored. Tang dynasty for dinner, Mario Party 3 for dessert. I suppose them being there wasn't so bad, since I got to play video games until my eyes were watering. I wish it could have lasted longer, which is why we have two-day celebrations!! Friday wasn't a very big continuation of celebration, though. Just Bourne Supremacy and I,Robot, both of which I enjoyed. [not that you should trust my judgment of movies] 11:21 AM.

I've been working on the slideshow a little more these past few days. You know how writers can sometimes get writer's block? I think last week I just had slideshow block and had to take a time-out. But I'm back in the game! So far, I have the Aaron, Serena, Emily, Melissa, Benton, Gordon, Food, and Girls sections done. The Baby section is almost done, with the exception of Stephanie and Gordon, so we're really only waiting on Stephanie, because Gordon will get his once he realizes that he's the only one left. One of the major things that we all need to do is WE ALL NEED TO TAKE AN INDIVIDUAL AND A GROUP PICTURE for the beginning and end of the slideshow!! So let's set that up, guys! That's the only thing I'm worried about, because starting last Friday, at least one of us will be gone and there's very little opportunities for a group picture. 11:28 AM.

Ooohhh my stomach is doing weird things right now. =( I can't think with a stomach hurt. 11:34 AM.

Now that Serena's gone, I don't know whose house we should do stuff at anymore!! There definitely needs to be a yearbook signing get-together today. And lunch. And a dog and pony show. Memory time! Back when I was in AP Gov, Mr Price often mentioned that he didn't do the dog and pony show, meaning that he was straightforward with the stuff that we needed to know. I suppose it's a Price way of saying he didn't beat around the bush? Anyhow, Derek told me that he wanted the dog and pony show. I thought it was amusing. Maybe he should have taken AP Gov Online if he wanted the dog and pony show. I've noticed that a lot of my former high school teachers have their little trademark phrases that they use. I'll try to list them out.

That's all that I can conjure up in my mind. Anyhow, I hope you've enjoyed this edition of the 11:00 hour post. From what I can tell, it's slightly shorter than the 3:00 hour posts, so those of you lacking in the departments of endurance and stamin can rejoice! I've cut you some slack. But you'll have to pick it up later when more ideas start flowing through my brain. So for now, you can relax, sit back in your chair and take a breather. Until next time, this is Me, out!
