I had a really weird dream last night. I was outside at Stanford, and this big volcano was in sight. I don't know when Stanford developed some big volcano overnight, but it was there. Some lady came up and asked me to sign for some package [like UPS or FedEx style]. Then she has me write some comment about her service or like how satisfied I was with the delivery. So I'm writing the comment and suddenly some random guy comes by hands us some kind of cloth thing and shouts something that I can't quite understand about the volcano. Apparently, Delivery Lady understands that the volcano is about to erupt and so she covers my mouth with the cloth [how selfless!] and tells me what's about to happen. The volcano explodes in a bit of fury and I see ash flying all over the place. Then, up in the sky, I see a rock the size of me in the fetal position heading in our general direction. At first it's far away, so I can't really tell how close it's going to come to me. Then it gets bigger... and bigger... and I'm like, "This is it. I'm about to die." I try to move, but I really have no idea whether moving will increase or decrease my chances of survival. So I stay still out of fear and watch the instrument of my destruction charge at me, much like a deer in the path of oncoming headlights. I hear a crash or boom or whatever sound a big rock makes and look up, and alas! I'm still alive. I look behind me and not two feet away is where the rock landed. All the while, Delivery Lady is holding on to me. We look at each other and then jump and down and say really stupid things like, "Wow that was so awesome!!" I then finish writing my commentary for the package delivery, and add on a short sentence about the volcano event. Meanwhile, another small group of people are waiting for me because I'm using the only pencil the Delivery Lady has, and they want to sign for a package, too.

P.S. Everybody. Director's Cut is not synonymous with Director's Commentary. I know what I'm talking about when I say that Director's Cut is a different [and usually longer] version of the movie. But the Theatrical version of The Butterfly Effect had a better ending.
