I'VE JUST HAD an epiphany. She's All That, the movie with Freddie and ... I forgot her name. Oh, Rachel Leigh Cook. Pretty good movie, right? I thought so, too, until I watched a movie just like it, known as My Fair Lady. Think about it, guys! She's All That is just a modern day knock-off of My Fair Lady. A guy bets his guy friend that he can turn someone from the lower trenches of society into a well-liked and generally desirable person. Only, I'm not sure if she finds out it was a bet in My Fair Lady. Nonetheless, both girls get mad at the guy in the end and go all crazy. He starts to feel lonely and regretful of the things he did. Eventually he realizes that, while he's been counseling the kid all the time, it was HE HIMSELF who was actually a ghost!! And that's why the kid could see and hear him... Oh, dang. Wrong movie.
Speaking of Rachel Leigh Cook, did anyone see Antitrust? Wasn't that a cool movie? Speaking of Ryan Phillipe, did anyone see I Still Know what You Did Last Summer? [the sequel with the horrible sequel title] Does anyone remember who the second killer is? One of them is one of the kids, but the other is an adult. Hm. I don't know what's a worse sequel title: I Still Know What ... or Bring It On Again. If you think about it, there are a lot of movie trilogies out there. The Lord of the Rings, Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, Austin Powers, Blade, Scream, Terminator, Friday, Spiderman... Well, Blade and Spiderman have their third installments arriving in the future, so they're counted as trilogies right now. The third Blade will no doubt be a failure, but the third Spiderman...? I hate to say it, but I have high expectations, which means I will ultimately be disappointed. Once you go up, you have to come back down. Spiderman was the rising action, Spiderman 2 was the climax, and Spiderman 3 will be the resolution. Oh, what high school English classes have done to my way of thinking!
Why don't parents want their kids to fight? In the end, it will make them stronger in life. What initially raised this question in my mind was Andy's stories of him and his sister battling it out, which I found very entertaining. Anyhow ... I'd love to elaborate on this, but I had a big lunch at Golden Dynasty [which I recommend to anyone who likes a good meal (meaning everyone)] and I'm too tired to go on. So sorry if I disappointed you. JK, I'm just kidding. I'm not sorry, because I'm too tired to be sorry. Zzz.
