IT SUDDENLY OCCURRED to me yesterday, out of coincidence or fate [which are really just two different words for the same thing] that things are changing drastically in my life, and I just hid my head in hope of its passing, much in the same fashion as an ostrich. This prompted me to devise a really long sentence to describe it's happening, and in that I have succeeded. I suppose my defense mechanism [in this case, denial] must be very strong to render me unaware of the changing circumstances in my life. Either that or I'm just not very bright. I guess I can't stay naive forever. I suppose it's better this way. Rather than peeling the band-aid off slowly, it's coming off in one swift motion. One fell swoop.

By the way, I'm getting a new cell phone, complete with a new cell phone number and all! [Sorry, Melissa, we're not cell phone sibbies anymore] Instead of 559-392-JERK, I am now 650-804-TUNA. Pretty nifty, eh? The new cell phone is being shipped to me Wednesday morning, so until then I'm JERK. It's an LG 4020, in case anyone wants to look it up. If only Aaron were here, he'd call upon his Amazon.com skills and say, "Hey, that's Gordon's new phone."

In any case--thanks, guys, for leaving me feeling completely content with the group of friends I had in high school. We were unbeatable, like the X-men or something, each of us with our own special powers. This will be my last post ... possibly next Monday or later. I've enjoyed my time with every one of you, even if you're reading this and weren't really a very close friend. If I knew you, you had an impact on my life, and you more likely than not taught me something valuable that I'll take with me in my days ahead. As for the Asian Posse, one day we can make a sequel and it'll be a darn good sequel. Of course, John Cho or Jet Li will star as me. As for the rest of you, we'll find some pretty cool people for you guys too. But I digress. Please keep in touch, never forget me, for I'll remember you. Unless I forget. JK, I'm just kidding. Come Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break, or Summer, we'll all have to reconsolidate into one Asian mass like the world has never seen! Until then, I wish you all the best of luck. See you later.
