The Amazing Amy Tan Adventure!
by Gordon Tan

One night, a bunch of Stanford kids went to Kresege Auditorium to listen to Amy Tan speak.

Here she is, in all her glory. I didn't want to flash while she was speaking, so the picture is somewhat dark. In this instance, she is holding a copy of the Cliff's Notes for The Joy Luck Club. Enjoyable!

An impulse purchase of her nonfiction autobiography [as if there were any other type of autobiography] led to her signing of it.

This is what it reads. I originally asked her to write "To Gordon--Keep up the good writing! Azn pride!" but the woman beside her [see above picture] said no. What a party pooper! I think this is nice, too, though.

We stayed until everyone left so we could get individual pictures with her. She did a funny thing by putting bunny ears on me at first, but then said "JK" or something to that effect. Rats!

THE END.
