Because I Could Not Stop For Work

Because I could not stop for work
It kindly stopped for me
It gave me programs in CS
And papers due in SLE
But since I was a lazy man
I couldn't do it all
So I decided to make a new post and leave my poem unfinished. Last weekend was SYS. A little background for those of you who are oblivious: SYS [Screw Your Sib] is where the Big Sibs set up their Lil' Sibs with dates. Big Sib Lil' Sib program in Stanford makes "families" or whatever. Alright. Enough about that. Speaking chronologically...
In the car, on the way to dinner. You can't tell, but Maggie, the POLISH girl [ahem, Stephanie] on my right isn't dressed up yet because she was getting her nails done and it took longer than expected. [Note: Polish girls are not Asian.]
We went to a restaurant called Korea House and sat in one of their back rooms that had a capacity of about 50. There was soooo much food, and it was all really good. Gloria was really happy about it.
Then it was back to Kimball [dorm] to hang out. We ended up playing Mafia. These people play it so differently! They're all analyzing strategically how to win and whether or not they should kill someone. It was way too civilized. There were no random accusations nor did anyone raise their voice. They thought I was a Mafia, but wrongly so. I was the first to be executed by the townspeople, but it's all good.
Here we are at the dance... at least some of us, anyway. I had a grand ol' time.
The girl standing beside me is Alison Wong. She was my date. The flash was a little overdone, and the result: I look nasty. But it's okay. Go us!
If that's way too many names and brackets for you to handle, here's the condensed version: Gloria, Dana, Alli, Cool Guy, Maggie. The two girls on the outer ends are my co-sibs [aka fellow lil' sibs] and Dana & Alli are big sibs.
Gloria hung out with me after the dance cuz she's cool. We were both tired though and decided just to go back to the dorms after a while. Zzz.
