Straylight Run Existentialism on Prom Night

I missed Peter, suoyi I brought him back. No hard feelings, dragon.

Friday and Saturday night, I went to two SYR dances. I have a few pictures, but I look bad in them, so you'll have to imagine them. Friday night date was Emi Manuia, a nice girl from Hawaii who is not quite five feet tall, enjoys staying up late, scares easily, likes most music except for country, but most of all is crazy about dancing! She tried to show me some dance moves, but I was too slow of a learner to make much out of it. Unfortunately, something happened at our dance that put a damper on the night, so we headed back early and watched Shaolin Soccer instead.

Saturday night date was Nancy Nguyen, the fourth Nguyen I've met at Stanford. She enjoys making death threats with her gun and grenade, enjoys most food regardless of whether or not others think it's bad [like me!], likes to do social dance, and doesn't fall when she's supposed to but bruises easily. She worried that she'd be taller than me. Puh-lease! We went to Buca di Beppo's for dinner and had the most awesome dinner I've had in a long time, although it was slightly more expensive than Friday night's very reasonably priced dinner. The group I hung out with wasn't really feeling the dance vibes so we went back to Burbank and played Pictionary. Nancy and I won, of course, because we named ourselves Team Winner! They walked me back in the rain. It was a little odd, but very kind of them.

Remember: you're never alone!
