Bad Things, Good People

22:29 Tuesday, August 30

Why is it that bad things happen to good people? Is karma just an opiate of the masses? I was watching the end of Crouching Tiger today, and I couldn't help but think, "That Li Mu Bai was a good man. Just at the beginning of his retirement, about to hook up with Shu Lien, avenged his master's death... and then he goes and dies himself." Sorry for anyone who hasn't seen the movie, but I figure if you haven't by now you deserve to die. Same thing with the main character of Infernal Affairs. Now, whenever I have to do something to help someone else that I might not like, I think of Li Mu Bai. I think of Infernal Affairs guy. The people I help are usually good people. And I am not that great of a person. I think both our uppins should come, to quote Family Guy.

I also wonder if I sound a bit too Carrie-Bradshaw-ish sometimes. Soon, I'll be walking down the streets of Manhattan[?] in a pink tutu a bus shoots by bearing an ad that declares, "Gordon Koo knows good cinema." The irony, I shouldn't have to tell you, is that I don't. And that I've watched the intro to Sex and the City one time too many.

Oh, by the way, went to Boomers today with Serena, Melissa, Andy. Fun.
