This mouse I use for my laptop is ridiculous. [usb cordless mouse, not the touchpad] I had to click six times for the double-click to register. And I know it's not the batteries because my dad put in brand new batteries a couple of days ago. I'll tell you the first thing I'm going to do tomorrow. I'm going to stay home because my parents have the car. But when I get a chance I'm going to go to Best Buy and use the gift card from my parents' friend to get a decent USB mouse. I don't care if it's cordless--I never did. For some reason, we just seem to be abounding in the cordless mouse resources at home.
