The opposite of pain is ...

00:55 Sunday, July 30

It bothers me that some words do not have any obvious antonyms that aren't stupid. The opposite of want is ...? Is it don't-want? The phrase "don't want" could actually describe either of two situations: 1) you want something to not happen; 2) you are apathetic about the whole thing. And now the word "want" seems really weird to me.

In any case, my pain has now transformed into not-pain. I like to think of the lowest drawer in the refrigerator as the Soft and Yummy drawer, as it now houses two metric tons of yogurt along with a few containers of Jello. I also have a stock of pudding and what was recently six cans of clam chowder. (I went through two of them already) And yet, I still miss the ability to chew. Chewing alone makes eating so satisfying. I'm getting hungry just thinking about the baan nahm bou from Chinn's Garden.
